Leasing of Domain
Names
Terms and Conditions
(1) The monthly lease
amount for each domain name is negotiated on an individual basis. We
will take into account factors such as the purpose of the planned
web-site and the potential number of visitors.
(2) The minimum length for leasing a domain name is 3 months.
(3) The maximum length for leasing a domain name is 12 months.
(4) Payment for each domain name is to be paid in full at the
beginning of the term of the lease.
(5) Use of the domain name will not be assigned to the Lessee until
payment has been received in full in cleared funds.
(6) The Lessor retains ownership and administrative control over the
domain name at all times during the period of the lease.
(7)The Lessor will be responsible for organising the necessary
administrative modifications related to pointing the domain name to
the Lessee's server for the duration of the lease.
(8) The Lessee or its affiliates or agents may not Trademark,
Servicemark, Copyright or Patent the Domain Name. Should the Lessee
Trademark, Servicemark, Copyright or Patent the Domain Name then said
licenses shall revert to the Lessor.
(9) Any leased domain name must never be used to direct traffic to a
website that conducts or promotes illegal activities.
(10)The domain name must comply with all applicable Local, National
and International Laws and Regulations.
(11) The Lessee is solely responsible for any and all materials to
which the Domain points.
(12) The Lessee must vigorously and in good faith defend the Lessor
against any third party action arising from the Lessee's use of the
domain in any court of law, arbitration hearing or other tribunal.
(13) The Lessee has no ownership rights to the domain name.
(14) At no time may the Lessee use the domain name in any
"SPAM" activities, in any form.
(15) The LESSEE shall not sell, transfer or sub-lease in any way the
domain name to any third party.
(16) Should the Lessee fail to abide by any of these terms and
conditions for any domain name, then the Lessee will forfeit all
consideration paid for leasing any and all domain names with the
Lessor. In addition all domain names will be disconnected from Lessee.
(17) These terms and conditions may be modified by MyDomainName.co.uk
at any time.
Notes:
Lessor refers to the legally registered owner of the domain
name that is available for lease.
Lessee refers to the person or company who leases the domain
name which is owned by the Lessor.
